Model Policy for Rodeos: Prohibiting Tobacco Sponsorship
This model sponsorship policy is written broadly to prohibit all types of sponsorship that a rodeo may encounter. However, it is up to the rodeo itself to decide which parts of the policy to adopt. For example, the venue can choose not to adopt certain portions of the policy, or the policy can have phased-in effective dates for different portions (e.g., some portions take effect immediately, and others not until a specified date).
Model Tobacco-free or Smokefree Event Policy
The Technical Assistance Legal Center (TALC) developed the following two Model Policies to help organizations limit tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke at events they sponsor, produce, or operate.
Sampling Ordinance
The Technical Assistance Legal Center (TALC) developed this Model Ordinance to help California cities and counties limit the free or low cost distribution of tobacco products, also known as “sampling.” For example, tobacco companies sponsor “bar nights” where they give away free samples of their products in bars.
