• PHLP regularly organizes and facilitates regional, statewide, and national workshops convening public health department staff and urban planners—often the first meeting of its kind for a community—to build a shared local understanding of health and planning, and to generate momentum for incorporating health considerations into planning decisions.
• PHLP recently hosted a group of leading policymakers, lawyers, public health professionals, urban planners, and government officials in a groundbreaking meeting to formulate an action plan that will engage the public health community in climate change policy development.
